The new updates to the actual hardware makes a huge difference in how the workflow happens with it. The only issue I've had with that particular work flow is that Ableton almost always gets the tempo and amount of bars wrong when I drag and drop audio clips. Are you able to copy out your patterns into ableton clips? There is absolutely no need for a maschine studio at this point. Something like a midi routing similar to their audio mixer send routine. Seems like this piece of hardware only slows or stops my workflow. You must not be familiar with routing midi ports and channels, in which case I suggest you get familiar.
