Its trail riding chops are enhanced by the spec of a 150mm dropper post as well as a shred-ready tubeless wheel and tire combo. I'd be more apt to drop 3K on a Scott Genius though, except I can't get a leg over one, and won't buy without riding.
The first bit of trail we covered involved quite a bit of pedaling, and even with the suspension open, the Trance pedaled efficiently. We all know that it is optimal to have more travel in the shock to have smoother suspension. So I was a bit surprised when I had a look at the specs.
